What we believe about Salvation


We believe that salvation is a gift from God, offered by His grace and received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. All people have sinned and are in need of a Savior, and Jesus, through His death and resurrection, has made a way for us to be reconciled to God. Salvation is not earned by good works but is freely given to those who repent and believe in Christ as Lord and Savior. Through salvation, we are forgiven, made new, and given the promise of eternal life with God.

“For by grace you have been saved, through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

“If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

God

We believe in one God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. 

God is the creator of all things, sovereign over all, and perfectly holy, loving, just, and faithful. God is all powerful, all-knowing, and ever-present. He is the source of life and the author of salvation. In His great love, God desires a personal relationship with every person and has revealed Himself through His creation, His Word, and ultimately through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Jesus

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man.

He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. Jesus lived a sinless life and willingly gave Himself as the perfect sacrifice for our sins through His death on the cross. We believe Jesus rose from the dead on the third day, defeating sin and death and offering eternal life to all who believe in Him. He ascended into heaven and now reigns at the right hand of the Father as our Lord and Savior. One day, Jesus will return in glory to judge the living and the dead and to establish His eternal kingdom. We follow Jesus as the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and we seek to live in relationship with Him and reflect His love to the world.

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, fully God, co-equal with the Father and the Son.

He is present and active in the world today, drawing people to salvation, convicting hearts of sin, and glorifying Jesus Christ. At the moment of salvation, the Holy Spirit indwells every believer, sealing them as God’s own and empowering them to live a transformed life. He comforts, teaches, guides, and equips us with the spiritual gifts to build up the body of Christ and carry out God’s mission on earth. We believe that walking in step with the Holy Spirit leads to a fruitful life marked by love, joy, peace, and holiness. As believers, we continually seek to be filled with the Spirit, yielding to His leading and becoming more like Jesus in every area of our life.

Bible

The Bible is the authoritative, infallible and inspired Word of God

The Holy Bible is God-breathed and true in all it affirms, without error in its original manuscripts. The Scriptures are our final authority in all matters of faith, life, and conduct, revealing God’s plan of salvation through Jesus Christ and providing guidance for righteous living. We affirm that the Old and New Testaments together are the complete and sufficient revelation of God’s truth, given to equip His people for every good work.

Prayer

Prayer is a vital and powerful means of communication with God.

Prayer is a privilege and responsibility given by God. Through prayer, we worship, give thanks, confess, and bring our needs and the needs of others before Him. We believe God hears and answers the prayers of His people according to His perfect will. Prayer is our direct communication with God through Jesus Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and is essential for spiritual growth, guidance, and the advancement of God’s Kingdom.

Communion

We believe Communion, also called the Lord’s Supper, is a sacred ordinance given by Jesus Christ to His Church.

Communion is a time of remembrance, thanksgiving, and proclamation – remembering Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, celebrating our salvation, and declaring His death until He comes again. The bread represents His body given for us, and the cup represents His blood shed for the forgiveness of sins. Communion is for all believers who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ, and it is a time for self-examination, unity, and renewed commitment to walk in obedience to Him.

Baptism

Baptism is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ.

Baptism is an act of obedience to His command. It symbolizes the believer’s identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection – showing that the old life has been buried and a new life has begun in Him. While baptism does not save us, it is an outward expression of the inward transformation that comes through faith in Jesus. We practice baptism by immersion as modeled in the New Testament, and it is reserved for those who have personally trusted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

The Church

The Church is the universal body of Christ, comprised of all believers who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

The Church is exists to glorify God, build up and equip believers, proclaim the gospel, and serve the world in love. We believe every follower of Jesus is called to actively participate in the life of the Church through worship, fellowship, discipleship, and ministry. While the universal Church is made up of believers across all nations, we gather as a local church family to grow in faith, encourage one another, and work together in fulfilling Christ’s missioncalled to worship God, grow in faith, serve one another, and proclaim the Good News Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.
